Sorry it has been forever
So I appear not to be very good at this blog updating thing. Nothing really exciting has happened. But I will recap in chronological order.
English Olympics: they happened at the end of April, but were very anticlimactic. After all the preparation I was expecting something bigger.
Graduation: The biggest graduation news was that it snowed. Everyone froze, especially the kids because they were all dressed for summer weather. It was not like any graduation that I have ever seen, except for the 11th graders being upset about leaving. After graduation I spent a week sitting in my house reading books (all the books I possessed – 7 in one week), while my students took exams, having graduation before exams is also a little different.
Going on Vacation: I left site to go to UB. A friend of mine got a dog bite and had to get rabies shots so we hung out and went to go visit other PC people in eastern Mongolia. It was my first time seeing the steppe, which is very different from where I live. Mongolia is currently really green! Although it snowed yesterday, we were driving to Mongolia’s ancient capital, which has one of the three monistaries preserved during the communist purges. I am excited about going to see it, but it is still really cold. Actually two days ago it was probably 80 and today it is probably 40. Mongolian weather is crazy.
