KOREA!
I’m in Korea! Visiting a friend. It is super exciting. Today I went to an ancient captial of the unifiers of Korea, Shilla people. There is a fancy temple, and a big museum. It was very pretty, and very green. I had some troubles, Korea is not big on the English speaking, and my Korea is. . . bad - I am capable of saying hello and good bye (maybe). It was a little interesting, but I figured it out. The temple was very nice, at the museum I had a really awkward moment at the the museum when I was asking how a major temple got destroyed and it turned out it was the Mongols. This is after I told him I am a teacher in Mongolia.
Korea is amazing. It is almost like America, but not. There are very many America like things, like Starbucks, McDonald’s, Baskin Robins, Dunkin Donuts, paved roads with lanes and exits and other highway like things, big buses with comfortable seats, traffic lights, internet, American TV shows like CSI, clean water, toilets and HOT SHOWERS. I am really excited to be here. It is really cool.
